ABTA

InteleTravel proudly gained its ABTA membership in March 2019. ABTA, formerly known as the Association of British Travel Agents, is the Travel Association for tour operators and agents in the UK.

ABTA is a trusted brand in the travel industry, which provides a variety of services including guidance, support and help with dispute resolution to both its members and the travelling public. The ABTA Code of Conduct is included as part of the UK mandatory regulatory training, which all agents must complete first before making any bookings.

ATOL

InteleTravel was granted its ATOL licence in the autumn of 2021. ATOL is the UK’s consumer financial protection scheme for air package holidays and flight only bookings.

The ATOL scheme, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) protects and repatriates passengers in the event of an ATOL holder or airline failure. When a booking is made with one of our Back Office tour operators they will package and issue the ATOL certificate.

InteleTravel collects and records monies within the booking process, for each customer, and an ATOL certificate is issued within 24 hours for forwarding to the customer. ATOL sales are reported to the CAA monthly. This will always be in addition to the cost of the holiday/ flight and is normal in the travel industry. When promoting prices/ deals, the ATOL costs are always included in the price displayed.
